Mackenna Schon-Fundraising
Mackenna Schon recently joined the Women in Fire team to grow fundraising efforts and opportunities. She is also working with NDRI Ventures and the ResponderStrong team to increase local engagement, beginning with ResponderStrong Indiana. Her passion for First Responder mental health began while working at a nonprofit First Responder training campus in Northwest Indiana. She brings a strong background in nonprofit management through her earlier work with United Way and the YMCA.
Mackenna serves on the NWI First Responder Peer Support Group and is certified in Peer Support, Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), and Fire Chaplaincy. Outside of her professional work, she is a worship leader at her church, a Rotarian, and an active volunteer in her hometown of Valparaiso, Indiana.
