Janine Jaber
Cottonwood Fire Department - Firefighter/Paramedic
Janine Jaber, born, raised, and currently residing in Phoenix, Arizona, brings a strong passion for mentorship and service to the fire community. A firefighter/paramedic for nearly five years and a certified Hazardous Materials Technician, Janine is committed to supporting the next generation of firefighters—just as she was supported by her own mentors.
She has held leadership roles such as Reserve Coordinator, where she was responsible for hiring and training new firefighters. Janine also teaches part-time at Yavapai College, instructing EMT, Paramedic, and Firefighter I & II Academy courses. Her dedication extends to volunteering at Aspire Academy, a camp introducing high school girls to careers in the fire service.
In 2021, she founded Arizona Firewomen, a statewide network of nearly 50 active and aspiring female firefighters focused on connection, support, and mentorship. Always available to guide others in or entering the fire service, Janine is eager to expand that reach and continue uplifting women across the industry as a State Representative for Women in Fire.
