Lisa’s background includes 10 years as a firefighter, 2 as a Lieutenant, 4 as a Captain, and the past 9 as Battalion Chief. In her current role, Lisa oversees the Airport, Hazardous Materials program, Water Rescue, and Technical Rescue. In addition, Lisa is also the Safety Officer for the Department.

Lisa is also the Western Trustee for iWomen.

Lisa, who holds the certification of Chief Officer, has a Master’s Degree in Executive Leadership, a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, and an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science. She is also a graduate of the Executive Fire Officer’s Program from the National Fire Academy, and the IAFC Executive Development Institute.

As a mentor, Lisa feels that continuous education is important and having another member of the fire service available is a key component. Lisa would like to share the knowledge, education and experience she has to help others achieve their goals of success.

Lisa has been a mentor for “Youth Uprising”, and at-risk children, sharing her non-judgmental compassion, as she provides a listening ear and helps to guide them to the correct paths.
