Amy Hanifan is the Operations Chief with McMinnville Fire Department in McMinnville, Oregon. She has been in the fire service since early 2001, starting as a volunteer and eventually began a career as a Firefighter Paramedic. Earning the roles of Field Training officer and Lieutenant, Amy has continuously been passionate about mentoring others in different stages of their careers. Throughout the years she has been involved with large community projects such as Toy and Joy and Fill the Boot. She has also been very involved with the Union Local 3099 and served on the board for several years.
Amy takes her training very seriously and has attended several abroad courses, including the National Fire Academy. She intends to continue challenging herself to grow within her career and encourages her peers to do the same.
Outside of her professional life, Amy is married, a twin mama, and resides in Dundee, Oregon. She enjoys running, community involvement, and spending time with family.
